Everything you know about the Star Wars universe YOU need to know. Currently, with episode 7 not being out, the game will be Extended Universe base. The now non-cannon universe. Episode 1-3, will be referenced a little bit, but not much that information will be used.

Current Game character creation and leveling rules

The game is set a bit before episode 4 "A New Hope" The party is a bunch of misfits, fringers, outcasts, mercs. Pretty much, you all are scum. There are no Jedi.

Roll 4D6 drop the die of your choice. Reroll 1s.

Any race is open.

Any Backround is open.

Only classes that are forbidden are Force Adept and Jedi. You can not start the game as a Force Adept/Jedi. I would suggest taking a level of scout or noble just because boost of level 1 skill points. Remember skills DO matter in a non-fantasy game.

As for talent choices in the other books. It is all open. Here is a website that has done the hard work of indexing everything.

The story so far

A group of misfits find themselves looking at each other. Each of you look around. The last thing each of you remember is being taken off world for processing.

"Get up." a Troop says while it gestures with a blaster rifle towards the door.

Your entire chain gang shuffles out. As you step off the ramp, the amount of activity takes the breath away. There are more than 3 dozen chain gangs being led off the ships. A loudspeaker informs everyone that you if cause trouble, you'll be shot. You look the wrong way, you'll be shot. You spit on anything, you will be shot. As you shuffle towards the holding cells, the chants of FRESH FISH start up. It doesn't let up through the night.
